Palma Ceia/Bayshore Wins Junior League
Title TAYLOR, Mich.
The wave of power continued, and Palma
Ceia/Bayshore rode it all the way to the Junior League World Series
title. Behind Peto Kirkwood's two home runs and the pitching of
Chandler Flom, Palma Ceia defeated Venezuela 5-2 in Saturday night's
final in front of 2,014 spectators. The World Series win was the first
for the city of Tampa since 1985, when the Tampa Bay Little League team
won it all in Taylor.

The Bayshore Little League provides local youngsters an outlet of
healthful activity under good leadership in the atmosphere of wholesome
community participation. The League is dedicated to teaching youngsters
the FUNdamentals of baseball and softball and the values of teamwork,
sportsmanship, and fair play. |
